About FDP
This Faculty Development Program (FDP) is designed to equip faculty members, researchers, and industry professionals with a comprehensive and practical understanding of technical writing, focusing on research papers, patents, and funding proposals. With a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and capacity building, the FDP is especially beneficial for early-career faculty and researchers at the beginning of their academic journey. Participants will gain valuable insights into the complete research lifecycle—from reading and critically analyzing scholarly literature to writing high-quality research papers, technical reports, theses, and competitive research proposals. The program aims to enhance both the quality and impact of academic and research outputs.
A key highlight of the FDP is practical exposure to state-of-the-art tools, including LaTeX and advanced typographic software, enabling participants to prepare professional-quality technical documents and manuscripts. The FDP will also cover important research metrics, indexing databases, and responsible scholarly practices.
In line with current advancements, the FDP will introduce the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in technical writing and research workflows, including AI-assisted literature review, language refinement, plagiarism detection, and drafting support. Special emphasis will be placed on the ethical, transparent, and responsible use of AI tools, ensuring academic integrity and originality.
Additionally, the FDP will integrate modern Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools such as reference management software, collaborative writing platforms, online submission systems, and digital presentation tools, thereby enhancing research efficiency and collaboration.
Who Can Participate?
Faculty members, research scholars, UG/PG students of recognized universities from any discipline from India and abroad, and industry personnel. Selection will be made on the first-come-first-serve basis to a maximum number of 300.
